Abstract
The correctional measures described in the Child and Adolescent Statute are applied to adolescents who incur in the infraction act and has the purpose of social rescue of them. Thus, through the correctional measures, it seeks to prepare them for life in society in order to avoid recurrence in illicit practices. Among the modalities of correctional measures that can be applied to transgressor adolescents is the admission to an educational establishment. These units must offer conditions for the realization of the fundamental rights and guarantees provided for in the Brazilian Constitution and others laws applied to children and adolescents. Among these rights, we detect the right to education, the main element capable of realizing the primary purpose of the correctional measures, namely, the social inclusion of the transgressor adolescent. Due to the existence of innumerable irregularities found in several educational establishments in Brazil, this research, through the literature review, explore how the right to education is guaranteed in the application of correctional measures in Paraíba. This research reveals that despite many guidelines and laws about the right to education within these educational establishments, many of these planning and pedagogical projects do not materialize.
