Abstract
We conducted a study with the main objective to analyze the main aspects of the use of media in the classroom of elementary school. And yet, as specific objectives sought to search for new paradigms in teacher practice in the early years of primary education; encourage the inclusion of media in everyday school life and to promote reflection on the inclusion of media in the classroom, trying to analyze the practice of teachers of the Municipal School Professor Terezinha de Lourdes Galvão in the city of Acari-RN. Characterized as kind of qualitative and quantitative research through questionnaires to teachers who work with different media, school searched can know more about the current reality on the subject, which was based on authors such as Kenski (2009), Almeida (2011 ) and Castells (2007). The result pointed to various difficulties faced by teachers, they do not have professional available to the computer lab which makes it difficult to monitor the evolution and diversity of media that could be used as support tools in the classroom. The study analysis developed a reflection on the pedagogical practices developed by teachers from the selected school, in the classroom and the difficulties they encountered. At the same time, it shows that this is a path of no return and that the educational process still undergo many changes.
