Abstract
This article proposes a reflection on the phenomenon of revictimization, which is recurrent in all cases of rape allegations. It also intends to analyze and discuss, from the exposure of specific cases widely known by the brazilian society, the paradox of a society that mirrors the judiciary while being completely different from it. There is no intention of making a value judgment, but of questioning reality through the exegesis of literary, academic and legal materials, seeking to demonstrate that this phenomenon does not spare any victims and exponentially increases legal uncertainty, lack of trust in the public machine and the fear of denouncing, causing deep and disastrous marks in countless lives, as well as in society as a whole.
