Abstract
The effectiveness of judicial services depends not only on the pronouncement of judicial decisions, but also on their practical implementation. In this context, the role of the court officer stands out, as this public servant is responsible for materializing the determinations issued by the Judiciary and ensuring that the rights recognized by the State are effectively achieved by those under its jurisdiction. This article aims to analyze the relevance of the court officer’s role as a guarantor of the realization of fundamental rights in the Brazilian legal system. The research stemmed from the problem of understanding how the actions of this professional contribute to the effectiveness of judicial decisions and the protection of fundamental rights. This is a basic research study, with a qualitative approach, descriptive and exploratory objectives, and bibliographic and documentary procedures, based on books, scientific articles, legislation, jurisprudence, and official documents. The results showed that the court officer plays an essential role in the effectiveness of judicial protection, acting as a link between the Judiciary and society. Furthermore, it was found that their role goes beyond simply serving warrants, contributing to the protection of human dignity, strengthening access to justice, and realizing fundamental rights. Challenges related to work overload, structural limitations, inherent risks of the activity, and the ongoing need for professional development were also identified. It is concluded that the institutional recognition of the court officer is an indispensable measure to increase the efficiency of judicial services, strengthen the guarantee of fundamental rights, and promote a more accessible, effective justice system committed to the principles of the Democratic Rule of Law.
