Abstract

This paper aims to report on the practical experience developed during the Supervised Curricular Internship IV, carried out in the Human Resources Department of the Municipality of Rorainópolis, focusing on understanding administrative routines and people management in the public sector. The activities performed involved public service, issuing functional documents, updating registration information in the Integrated Personnel System (SIP), organizing and filing personnel files, as well as supporting internal administrative processes. The experience allowed for the practical application of theoretical knowledge acquired throughout the Public Administration course, especially in the areas of people management, administrative law, professional ethics, and process organization. It was observed that the sector has an adequate physical structure and practices that favor administrative efficiency, such as the use of remote service via email, although it still faces limitations related to connectivity, the computerized system, and the excessive use of manual processes. The experience contributed significantly to the development of technical, organizational, and behavioral skills, reinforcing the importance of the Human Resources sector for the functioning of public administration and for the quality of services provided to employees and societ
