Abstract
Technological transformations implemented in the Brazilian Judiciary have significantly modified the way judicial services are provided, expanding the use of digital tools, electronic systems, and consensual methods of conflict resolution. In this context, the role of the court officer has also undergone important changes, shifting from focusing exclusively on the physical execution of warrants to assuming strategic functions related to procedural intelligence, the use of digital technologies, and the promotion of the effectiveness of judicial services. This article aims to analyze how the evolution of the court officer’s duties contributes to strengthening access to justice and increasing the effectiveness of judicial decisions in the face of the digital transformation of the Brazilian Judiciary. This is basic research, with a qualitative approach, descriptive and exploratory objectives, and bibliographic and documentary procedures, based on legislation, resolutions of the National Council of Justice, books, and scientific articles. The results demonstrate that the incorporation of new technologies has expanded the possibilities for court officers to act without replacing the importance of human contact during the execution of judicial decisions. Furthermore, it was found that expanding their competencies strengthens self-composition, contributes to the effectiveness of judicial agreements, and broadens access to justice. It is concluded that the institutional valorization of the career, associated with continuous training and investment in technological innovation, constitutes an indispensable element for strengthening the provision of judicial services in a democratic state governed by the rule of law.
