Abstract
More than a repository of studies, Sociology and Law – Volume 4 is a call for a critical reading of the present, past, and future. It is necessary to question them and, when necessary, transform them. By crossing boundaries between economics and ethics, between technique and politics, between memory and justice, this collection affirms that legal-sociological knowledge is inseparable from the human experience of conflict and creation. May this volume, therefore, serve as a starting point for new research, new dialogues, and new practices. Because, as the following pages demonstrate, Law is also a form of expression of the social world, and understanding this discourse is also understanding the possibilities and limits of our own freedom.
