Abstract
Child growth and development are important indicators of the quality of life of a population, which is why the Family Health Strategy (ESF), adopted by the Unified Health System (SUS) contributes to promoting the quality of life of the population, facilitating a bond . Thus, well-child care is inserted as a strategy for comprehensive and multidisciplinary monitoring of the health not only of the child, but also of his family. It should be carried out through nursing consultation, medical consultation, dental consultation, home visits and educational activities.
